About Us
KeduAfrica is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to promoting African culture, building community, and empowering small businesses. Based in Sacramento, our mission is to create inclusive spaces that celebrate African heritage while providing opportunities for education, entrepreneurship, and youth development.
Over the years, we’ve launched a variety of impactful programs that bring people together anduplift our community, including:
Small Business Cultural Jollof Festival – A vibrant celebration of African food, fashion,music, and entrepreneurship, featuring vendors and chefs from Ghana, Liberia, Kenya Nigeria, Tanzania, Uganda, Sierre Loane, Cameroun and beyond.
Experience Africa – A cultural showcase offering a rich exploration of African traditions,arts, music, and storytelling.
Africa Heritage Ball – A formal evening honoring African heritage and recognizing outstanding contributions in our community.
Hoop Heroes Basketball Academy – A free program teaching youth basketball skills, teamwork, and leadership development.
Princess to Queen Project – A free sewing and life skills initiative that empowers young girls with hands-on skills and self-confidence.
African Dance Mentorship for Girls – A program combining traditional dance with mentorship and personal growth.
African Drum Classes – Hands-on drumming sessions that teach traditional African rhythms while connecting participants to cultural roots and communal expression.
