What's the difference between advertising/marketing and public relations?  This "Public Relations 101" workshop will help you to define and understand the differences between advertising/marketing and public relations, find the "WE in the mission," conduct simplified community research, and turn "trying" into actionable and measurable SMART goals.  Attendees will walk away with the start of an action plan specific to public relations that will touch on timing/frequency, areas of responsibility and specific tasks and owners, performance measures and targets, plans for monitoring and evaluating progress, and more. 

About the speaker:
Felicia Borges, artist and creator/volunteer organizer of 'Second Saturday in Natomas." will be drawing on her over 30 years of public relations experience as well as tips and tricks she's learned from her civil service career in strategic and operational planning and organizational development.  Be ready to work.
